Working Paper: Reframing Alternative Development in the Greater Mekong Subregion (2015)
Despite alternative development's success curbing Southeast Asian opium poppy production, it has yet to reach its full potential due to, amongst other factors, a lack of regional policy coordination. This working paper aims to contribute to greater consistency in the approaches to AD and related practices in Southeast Asia, and particularly, among the countries of the 1993 Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on Drug Control in the Greater Mekong Subregion.
