Impact of Gender-Based Violence on Health among People in Prisons and other Closed Settings
14th May 2024 – On the margins of the 33rd Session of the Commission on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice (CCPCJ), the UNODC HIV/AIDS Section organized a side event to discuss the impact of gender-based violence (GBV) on health among people in prisons and other closed settings. This event was co-sponsored by Penal Reform International, the UNODC Justice Section, and the Permanent Missions of the Group of Friends on HIV Prevention Among People Who Use Drugs and People in Prison Settings. UNODC HIV/AIDS Section at the 67th Session of the United Nations Commission on Narcotic Drugs
11th - 22nd March 2024 – Vienna, Austria – The 67th Session of the United Nations Commission on Narcotic Drugs took place in Vienna. Several events were held throughout the period of two weeks including high-level segments. All events were organized by diverse stakeholders in person and in hybrid format.The UNODC HIV/AIDS Section actively participated in many of these events, including an event in the high-level segment, study visits, and side events, whether as an organizer, co-sponsor or invited as a speaker.
