Agenda
The call is now closed.
Member States are hereby informed that the call for applications for financial support to participate in the second negotiating session of the Ad Hoc Committee, to be held in Vienna, from 30 May to 10 June 2022, is now open.
In operative paragraph 13 of its resolution 75/282, the General Assembly urged Member States to provide voluntary extrabudgetary financial contributions to the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime to ensure funding to enable the participation of representatives of developing countries, especially those that do not have resident representation in Vienna, in the work of the Ad Hoc Committee, including by covering their travel costs and accommodation expenses.
Pursuant to operative paragraph 5 of the General Assembly resolution 74/247 and operative paragraph 13 of the General Assembly resolution 75/282 and based on the predictable availability of voluntary contributions, the call is open to developing countries, especially those that do not have resident representation in Vienna, to nominate one delegate per country to be financially supported to participate in the above meeting. Some potential donor countries have specified in their funding pledges to UNODC that priority in the granting of financial support be given to least developed countries, small island developing states and landlocked developing countries.
Member States are cordially invited to submit their applications for financial support to: cybercrimeahc@un.org, by 12 April 2022, 11:59 p.m. New York local time. Applications will be processed on a first come, first served basis. The delegates that would be financially supported to participate in the above meeting will be notified by 15 April 2022. UNODC would strongly encourage Member States to facilitate the application of female members of their delegations.
The financial assistance covers flight tickets, daily subsistence allowance, visa fees as applicable, and terminal expenses, based on applicable UN rules and regulations.
Please refer to the detailed information on the financial support before you submit your application.
