12-13 July 2017 - CRIMJUST programme constantly co-operates with international partner organizations.
It is of great importance to build bridges, co-operate and synthesise. Therefore, UNODC interchanges knowledge and works closely together with other international partner organizations, such as the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE), International Criminal Police Organization (INTERPOL), European Union Agency for Law Enforcement Cooperation (EUROPOL), and the European Union Agency for Law Enfrocement Training (CEPOL). In course of enhancing close collaboration, Mr. Marco Teixeira represented UNODC at the 2017 Annual Meeting of Heads of Law Enforcement Departments/ Police-Related Projects and Programmes and gave updates on the CRIMJUST project to the participants. The cordial exchange about the state of the art and the intelligence of the great variety of projects conducted by the agencies was much appreciated.
Under the framework of the CRIMJUST project funded by European Union Cocaine Route Programme, UNODC and its partners (INTERPOL and TI) aim to assist Member States to enhance their capacity and integrity of criminal justice institutions to detect, investigate, prosecute and adjudicate illicit cocaine trafficking cases, and to foster cooperation at the interregional level for effective action to tackle drug trafficking and related organized crime.
