Since David Bowie praised his album as debut of the year, Belgian artist Ozark Henry has been dazzling audiences with this unique vocal style, producing music from avant-garde electronica to pop, including a symphonic album with the National Orchestra of Belgium.
Ozark Henry's music is both honest and vulnerable. The artist's resonating melodies and captivating lyrics paint inspiring stories and bring people together. With messages of love, hope and change, Ozark Henry has become one of Belgium's most influential modern-day storytellers.
Since his appointment as the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) Goodwill Ambassador for Belgium, Ozark Henry has used his talent and fame to raise awareness and to encourage his audience to join UNODC's Blue Heart Campaign.
The Blue Heart is increasingly recognized as the international symbol against human trafficking, representing the sadness of those who are trafficked while reminding us of the cold-heartedness of those who buy and sell fellow human beings. The global awareness-raising campaign encourages involvement and inspires action to help stop this crime. It also allows people to show their solidarity with the victims of human trafficking by wearing the Blue Heart.
Ozark Henry's concert on 24 October in Vienna is a fundraising initiative under the Blue Heart Campaign against Human Trafficking, actively sponsored by the Permanent Mission of Belgium in Vienna, with the kind support of ORF Radiokulturhaus and UNODC.
All proceeds from this event will go to the United Nations Voluntary Trust Fund for Victims of Trafficking in Persons, which provides assistance and protection to the victims of trafficking through specialized NGOs across the globe.
