Ozobulu Solumtochukwu Precious is a human rights lawyer who has worked extensively on advocating and defending the rights of vulnerable groups in Nigeria, including women, girls, children, sexual minorities, and people with disabilities. She is a Legal/Program Officer with Lawyers Alert, a human rights organization, and has been recognized for her dedication to youth engagement and gender issues by the UN Women Nigeria and the European Parliament. She sits on the boards of several youth organizations and serves as the secretary of the Governance, Peace and Migration Committee of the European Union Youth Sounding Board in Nigeria.
Precious Uchechi Eze is a young lawyer with a keen interest in Public International Law, Peace, Security and Migration. She has 3 years of progressive experience in the public and private sector and has worked in various organizations, including the Nigerian Institute of International Affairs, the Federal Ministry of Justice and the University of Lagos Radio. Precious is also passionate about community development initiatives, having championed the “Peace Club for Change Initiative” to tackle insecurity and promote peace education in Nigeria. She is a 2022 Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung Young Activist Fellow and currently chairs the Governance, Peace and Migration Committee of the European Union Youth Sounding Board in Nigeria. Precious is currently pursuing an Erasmus Mundus Master’s degree in International Law of Global Security, Peace and Development, and is keen on utilizing International Law as a tool for global development.
Abba Ali Yarima Mustapha is a UN volunteer working in Borno State, Nigeria, where he focuses on implementing the STRIVE Juvenile’s awareness-raising component. He specializes in the DDRR program, reducing the recruitment of children and young people into terrorist and violent extremist groups in the northeastern part of Nigeria. Abba has extensive professional experience working with various organizations and has provided alternative narratives to violent extremism through his work as a facilitator for peacebuilding organizations, youth initiatives, and radio stations. He has reached millions of people through his work, and his efforts have earned him recognition and selection for various programs and fellowships.
Hannah Tiefengraber works for the End Violence Against Children team at the UNODC Headquarters, Vienna. She provides legal advice and technical assistance to countries worldwide on violence against children within the field of crime prevention and criminal justice. Her work includes issues related to justice for children, counter-terrorism, and violent extremism. Hannah holds a Master’s degree in Human Rights and International Humanitarian Law from the University Paris II and is a qualified lawyer. In this capacity, she has worked on various cases involving vulnerable children before joining UNODC in 2019. Hannah previously worked as a Legal Officer with the UN Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in Mali.
Imrana Alhaji Buba is the Founder of the Youth Initiative Against Terrorism, which aims to unite youth against violent extremism in northeastern Nigeria. He is also a youth engagement specialist, community development facilitator, and conflict sensitivity expert who has consulted for international organizations such as USAID, ODI, and International Alert. Imrana has received several awards, including the Queen’s Young Leaders Award in 2016 and the JCI Ten Outstanding Young Persons of the World Award in 2017, for his efforts in providing education and livelihood opportunities for conflict-affected youth in Nigeria. He is currently pursuing a PhD in Political Science at the University of Oslo, researching civilian protection during conflicts.
