| The Press Conference will take place on Tuesday, 8 April 2003 at 12 p.m. at the Vienna International Centre (VIC) C-0345 |

Mr. Kavan will be on an official visit to the Republic of Austria and the United Nations in Vienna from 6-8 April 2003. During his visit to the VIC Mr. Kavan
will address the 46th Session of the Commission on Narcotic Drugs (CND) after which he will
also host the press conference. Mr. Costa will discuss the expectations of the CND session,
including the Ministerial Segment to be held on 16-17 April.
Representatives of Permanent Missions, UN staff, journalists, and NGO representatives, are all welcome to attend the press conference.
