The report highlights the latest developments and challenges posed by synthetic drugs, in particular amphetamine-type stimulants (ATS) and new psychoactive substances including potent synthetic opioids, in East and Southeast Asia. It covers the most recent trends in manufacture, trafficking and use of methamphetamine, “ecstasy” and new psychoactive substances and reflects on the impact of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic on these developments. The findings of this report are based on primary information submitted by the drug control agencies and designated institutions. |
