TRACK4TIP - Transforming Alerts into Criminal Justice Responses to Combat Trafficking in persons within migration flows - is a three-year initiative (2019-2022), implemented by the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) and supported by the Office to Monitor and Combat Trafficking in Persons JTIP at the United States Department of State. The project is being implemented and reaches eight countries across South America and the Caribbean with actions at the national and regional level among Ecuador, Peru, Brazil, Colombia, the Dominican Republic, Trinidad and Tobago, Curaçao and Aruba.
The overall objective of the project is to enhance the regional criminal justice response to human trafficking among migration flows within the beneficiary countries following a victim-centered and multidisciplinary approach working at the regional and local levels to identify, prevent and prosecute cases. To achieve this, TRACK4TIP proposes the implementation of 7 main activities organized under three specific objectives that together make it easier for each of the eight beneficiary countries to achieve the main objective of strengthening their criminal justice response in cases of trafficking in persons involving Venezuelans migrating in the region.
