UNCAC is an innovative anti-corruption instrument as it addresses not only corruption in private-to-public relationships (business relationships with public officials, including state-owned enterprises), but also private-to-private relationships (relationships among companies only). To the private sector in its fight against corruption, UNODC implements technical assistance projects worldwide, develops tools and resources to strength capacity and provide guidance to public and private sector entities, and engages in awareness raising activities. By accessing UNODC tools and resources, companies can learn how they can help create healthy business environments and contribute towards levelling the playing field in the countries where they operate.
