9 December 2022 - International Anti-Corruption Day

The 2022 International Anti-Corruption Day (IACD) seeks to highlight the crucial importance of anti-corruption in achieving peace, security, and development.

Tackling corruption is an integral part of UNODC’s support within the Programme for Central Asia 2022-2025. In Central Asia and South Caucasus, we work closely with national counterparts on the implementation of the United Nations Convention against Corruption (UNCAC), exercising the UNCAC Implementation Review Mechanism, supporting the development of anti-corruption strategies, adopting laws, setting up transparent public procurement systems, engaging civil society and promoting business integrity, educating children and youth.

We call to uphold strong anti-corruption measures in our work at:

Supporting law enforcement;

Education and youth empowering;

Promoting freedom and human rights;

Encouraging judicial integrity;

Bolstering gender equality;

Advancing business integrity.

On this day, as well as beyond as we mark 20 years of UNCAC, join us as we continue to unite the world against corruption.
