Virtual Workshop for South East Asia on Enhancing Nuclear Security at Borders– Project on Promoting Universalization and Effective Implementation of (ICSANT)

The virtual workshop, organized by UNOCT within the framework of the EU funded ICSANT project focused on the topic of detection and response at official Points of Entry, featuring discussions on Nuclear Security Architecture, Operational Challenges, and International Cooperation with key speakers from UNOCT, Member States and international Organizations. In addition to UNOCT, the workshops also featured presentations and discussions by different panelists from France, Jordan, Malaysia, Morocco, the Philippines, Thailand, the IAEA, INTERPOL, UNODC and WCO.

Throughout the workshop engagement with the attendees was high through Q&A sessions allowing direct exchanges of experience between the countries. The workshop was attended by over 120 participants from 10 Members States and international organizations.
