National Programme Coordinator - Country Office, Afghanistan

 

Nasratullah has over 10 years of professional experience in project / programme design, implementation, research, and capacity building in various thematic areas including education, skills development, institutional reform management and countering drugs and crime. He joined the UN as National Programme Officer with ILO in 2014 to introduce and implement national skills assessment and certification systems in Afghanistan. Prior to this, he implemented capacity development projects funded by USAID and US Embassy and led nine capacity development centres at public universities in seven major provinces of Afghanistan.  During his tenure with Democracy International, he carried out in-depth critical review of business process management at Small Taxpayers Office and introduced reform mechanisms to enable the office to increase its revenues and counter corruption.

HE joined UNODC Regional Programme for Afghanistan and Neighbouring Countries in 2017 as National Programme Coordinator and serves as its country focal point for Afghanistan. He holds MBA from Southampton Solent University, UK.
