March 2016 - UNODC: Seven substances "scheduled" at the 59th Session of the Commission on Narcotic Drugs

VIENNA, Austria – March 2016: At its 59th regular session from 16 to 22 March 2016, the Commission on Narcotic Drugs decided to place seven NPS under international control. Following recommendations by the WHO Expert Committee on Drug Dependence, seven substances were added to the relevant schedules of the Single Convention on Narcotic Drugs of 1961 as amended by the 1972 Protocol and the Convention on Psychotropic Substances of 1971.

Added to the Single Convention on Narcotic Drugs of 1961, as amended by the 1972 Protocol
1. Acetylfentanyl - Schedule I and Schedule IV
2. MT-45 - Schedule I

Added to the Convention on Psychotropic Substances of 1971
3. para-Methoxymethylamphetamine (PMMA) - Schedule I
4. α-Pyrrolidinovalerophenone (α-PVP) - Schedule II
5. para-Methyl-4-methylaminorex (4,4’-DMAR) - Schedule II
6. Methoxetamine (MXE) - Schedule II
7. Phenazepam - Schedule IV
