MEXICO CITY, Mexico - January 2014. The General Health Law of 2010 that contains the list of controlled substances, has been amended, by Decree of 07 January 2014, to place under control the synthetic cathinone mephedrone, the piperazine TFMPP as well as the general category of synthetic cannabinoids. These substances were added to Schedule I, i.e. substances with low or no terapeutical use which pose a serious threat to public health.
