June 2017 - World Health Organization: Substances to be reviewed for potential scheduling under the International Drug Control Conventions

GENEVA, Switzerland - June 2017: The World Health Organization (WHO) evaluates the dependence-producing properties and potential harm to health of psychoactive substances. Recommendations from the WHO on whether or not substances should be placed under international control are made to the Secretary-General of the United Nations, and are subject to a vote by the United Nations Commission on Narcotic Drugs (CND).

Sixteen substances will be considered for review at the 39th meeting of the WHO Expert Committee on Drug Dependence (ECDD), which will be held in Geneva from 6 to 10 November 2017.
 

  1. Acryloylfentanyl (Acrylfentanyl)
  2. Carfentanil
  3. 4-fluoroisobutyrfentanyl (para-Fluoroisobutyrfentanyl, 4-FIBF, pFIBF)
  4. 5F-ADB (5F-MDMB-PINACA)
  5. Pregabalin
  6. Tramadol
  7. Cannabidiol (CBD)
