Generic Legislation for TÜRKIYE

Generic Legislation
Decision 2015/7238
2015

In 2015, the Law 2313 on Control of Narcotic Drugs was amended by Decision Number: 2015/7238 (in force since January 2015) to include generic description of some NPS groups in the list of controlled substances, namely synthetic cannainoids, tryptamines and synthetic cathinones. Starting from a core molecular structure, which does not itself have to be psychoactive, the legislation specifies particular variations of the structure (particularly substituent groups in specified positions in the molecule) which lead to a substance being controlled. This new legislation covers more recently emerging synthetic cananbinoids such as PB-22.
