The Implementation Review Mechanism is structured into phases, each of which consists of two cycles.
For the first phase of the Review Mechanism, the first cycle is largely complete and remains open, in particular for States that became party to the United Nations Convention against Corruption after the first reviews started in 2010. The reviews in the second cycle remain ongoing.
The Conference of the States Parties to the Convention and the Implementation Review Group have begun preparations for the design and launch of the next review phase.
