The opening ceremony was chaired by the Deputy Attorney General, María Teresa Aguirre, and was attended by the Executive Secretary Minister of the SENABICO, Karina Gómez; the Chargé d'Affaires of the Embassy of the United States, Hugo Rodríguez; the Attaché of the Federal Republic of Germany, Carola Türksch; and the UNODC Coordinator, Pablo Cuevas.

The activities were subsequently developed with the participation of representatives of different ordinary fiscal units and specialized units of the Public Prosecutor's Office.

The central purpose of this activity, of direct support to the Public Prosecutor's Office and strategic support to SENABICO, is to improve the results in terms of deprivation of benefits derived from organized crime. The recently created SENABICO will manage resources that will be reallocated to the prevention of organized crime, to drug prevention treatment programmes, and to the budget of the Prosecutor's Office, among other things.

The ongoing course is developed within the framework of the implementation of the Transparency and Anticorruption Programme, through the support of the Federal Republic of Germany.
