UNODC Iran and UN Orientation Course

 

 

Tehran, 13 August 2018: The United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) in the Islamic Republic of Iran in partnership with the United Nations Information Center (UNIC), and NGO Organization for Defending Victims of Violence (ODVV) held a briefing session for seventy PhD and Master's degree university students of political science, international relations, international law and human rights in Tehran at ODVV's conference room on 13 August 2018.

The UNODC Iran presentation included briefing on UNODC's technical cooperation with Iran on drugs, crime, criminal justice, corruption, drug demand reduction, HIV care, and alternative livelihood. The session further included briefing on UNODC Iran history of cooperation with the Iranian national counterparts since establishment of the Office in the Country. The meeting was followed by an interactive Question and Answer session on UNODC's works and mandates at national and international levels.
