THEMATIC PROGRAMME ON RESEARCH, TREND ANALYSIS AND FORENSICS |
![]() |
The UNODC thematic programme on research, trend analysis and forensics undertakes thematic research, manages global and regional data collections, provides scientific and forensic services, defines research standards, and supports Member States to strengthen their data collection, research and forensics capacity. In 2017-18, two evaluation exercises of UNODC Research were conducted: 1) an independent in-depth project cluster evaluation, and 2) a professional peer-review ( summary brief and full report). The two assessments were complementary: the peer review focused on the professional ethics of UNODC Research, including the quality of products, impartiality and adherence to the Fundamental Principles of Official Statistics as approved by the General Assembly. The in-depth cluster evaluation looked at the five research projects, their effectiveness, efficiency and relevance. It also assessed how these five projects contributed to the delivery of the Thematic Programme on Research and Trend Analysis. |
