Call for Proposals: East Africa grants scheme on public procurement and whistleblower protection - APPLICATIONS ARE CLOSED The Civil Society Team (CST) is launching the East Africa Small Grants Scheme for the first time as part of the Fast-tracking UN Convention against Corruption (UNCAC) Implementation project. The CST will sponsor civil society organization's (CSOs) innovative proposals in anti-corruption aimed to advance the implementation of the themes on public procurement ( art. 9) and whistleblower protection ( art. 32). The CST in partnership with the UK Foreign and Commonwealth office (UK-FCO) aim to strengthen civil society capacity to work constructively with government, with the ultimate aim to succeed in implementing UNCAC. Please consult the Call for Proposals for full details of the scheme, including the objectives of the programme (1.2), the eligibility criteria of applicants (2.1) and projects (2.2), and how the projects will be evaluated (4). Grants will be awarded up to $10,000 depending on the proposals, and there is a limited number to sponsor. Applications in either English or French (link to French webpage at top right of page). What are the eligibility criteria and requirements?		The mandatory requirements for eligibility are the following: Only Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) based in East Africa can apply, namely Burundi, Djibouti, Ethiopia, Kenya, Rwanda, South Sudan, Tanzania, and Uganda. Additionally, the CSO cannot be registered less than two years before the date of the application. CSOs are defined as not-for-profit organizations including Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs), community groups, trade unions, indigenous groups, charitable organizations, faith-based organizations, professional associations and foundations. Businesses are not included in this category. Only one application per organization will be considered All applications are required to submit the following documents as part of the proposal to be eligible: -Project proposal application form (template provided); -Project budget (template provided); -Registration certificate as evidence for legal credentials of the organization; and, -Audited financial statements for the last two fiscal years (in the absence of audited statements, any other official document demonstrating the annual income of the previous years will be accepted).

Fill in the below project proposal and budget forms, as well as an organization registration certificate and audited financial statements for the last two years, and send to unodc-cstgrants@un.org, with UNODC East Africa Small Grants Scheme marked in the subject line, before the 30 June 2019. Kindly note that only fully completed applications with both documents received before the deadline will be considered.
