VIENNA, Austria – 12 March 2026: At its 69th regular session, held from 9 to 13 March 2026, the Commission on Narcotic Drugs (CND) decided to place three new psychoactive substances (NPS) under international control. Following recommendations by the World Health Organization, two nitazenes were added to the Schedule I of the Single Convention on Narcotic Drugs of 1961 as amended by the 1972 Protocol and one synthetic cannabinoid receptor agonist to Schedule II of the Convention on Psychotropic Substances of 1971. UNODC EWA will communicate the date of when the scheduling decisions enter into force via a follow up early warning advisory.

1. N-Pyrrolidino isotonitazene (Isotonitazepyne)
