Ms. Cristina Albertin is the Regional Representative for the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) in the Middle East and North Africa (ROMENA).
In a career with the United Nations spanning 30 years, she has been serving UNODC in various capacities across the world, including postings as Assistant Representative in Peru, Programme Manager in and Chief of the Latin America and Caribbean Section UNODC Headquarters Vienna and as UNODC Representative in Bolivia, Regional Representative for South Asia in India and UNODC Representative in Nigeria. Since 2017, she has been serving as UNODC Regional Representative for MENA in Egypt. Before joining UNODC, she worked with the World Food Programme in Bolivia.
