Peru joins Blue Heart Campaign against Human Trafficking
Peru is the latest country to join the Blue Heart Campaign against Human Trafficking. During the announcement, the Peruvian Minister for Women and Vulnerable Populations announced the creation of three specialized Prosecutor offices to deal with this crime. More than 1,500 human trafficking cases were filed with the Peruvian authorities from 2007 to 2013, with women representing 85 per cent of the victims. [Read More]
