... to celebrate our achievements and to reflect on the next steps towards advancing gender equality and women´s empowerment at UNOV/UNODC.

Since the launch of the first Strategy for Gender Equality and Women’s Empowerment in 2018, UNOV/UNODC has made great strides towards advancing gender equality and women’s empowerment (GEEW) in combatting organized crime, corruption, terrorism and the world drug problem. Building on this progress, the UNOV/UNODC Gender Team is excited to announce the launch of the second Strategy for Gender Equality and Women’s Empowerment (2022-2026)!

The panelists will be invited to discuss the following in the hybrid event:

What are the lessons learned and best practices from the first Strategy and how do we envision this being furthered over the next coming four years?

What are the new Priority Impact Areas of the new Strategy and how does this ensure that all staff and personnel are agents of change?

How will we improve the contextual implementation of gender mainstreaming efforts and in particular its implementation in the field?
