By 2050, 66 percent of the world's population is projected to be urban, which suggests that sustainable development challenges will increasingly be concentrated in cities, particularly in low and middle-income countries where the pace of urbanization is fastest. Strengthening the integrity and capacity of judicial institutions at the urban level through effective participation and empowerment of local stakeholders is therefore a prerequisite to build inclusive and resilient cities. UNODC's below listed tools and services can be instrumental in this process.
