To facilitate input from young people on preventing and countering transnational organized crime, UNODC is organizing a Youth Consultation on 10 October preceding the 12th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Convention against Transnational Organized Crime (COP12 UNTOC, 14-18 October 2024). The Consultation will facilitate a discussion between UNODC and youth actors and youth-led/youth-focused stakeholders with community-based experience on preventing and countering transnational organized crime.
The consultation will focus on topics relevant to COP12 UNTOC such as trafficking in persons, smuggling on migrants, illicit trafficking in firearms, and crimes that affect the environment. Outcomes of the consultation will be presented to Member States during COP12 UNTOC.
We invite youth representatives between the age of 18 and 29 to express interest to participate by completing the following form until 3 September 2024.
Selected participants will be contacted the week of 16 September 2024.
