|Report of the Commission on Narcotic Drugs*/
The Economic and Social Council,
1. Takes note of the report of the Commission on Narcotic Drugs (twentieth session);16/
2. Requests the Secretary-General to provide the Commission on Narcotic Drugs, at each annual session, with the best available information on future project proposals for technical co-operation in the field of narcotic drugs control so that the Commission's comments and recommendations can be taken into account in the formulation of annual programme submissions;
3. Approves the recommendation outlined in the report of the Commission17/ concerning the convening of a committee of the Commission to study the question of substances not under international control, such as barbiturates, amphetamines and tranquilizers, and to report thereof to the Commission at its twenty-first session in December 1966;
4. Recommends that, if possible, the Committee's meetings should be limited to one week and be held with the minimum financial obligation to the United Nations.
