JOINT CALL TO ACTION ON SCALING UP THE IMPLEMENTATION OF INTERNATIONAL DRUG POLICY COMMITMENTS ON IMPROVING AVAILABILITY OF AND ACCESS TO CONTROLLED SUBSTANCES FOR MEDICAL AND SCIENTIFIC PURPOSES #NOPATIENTLEFTBEHIND

On the opening day of the 65th session of the Commission on Narcotic Drugs (CND) – Monday, 14 March 2022, 12:15 p.m. Vienna time (CET) – the CND, the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), the World Health Organization (WHO) and the International Narcotics Control Board (INCB) came together to hold a Joint Call to Action on Scaling Up the Implementation of International Drug Policy Commitments on Improving Availability of and Access to Controlled Substances for Medical and Scientific Purposes. The Joint Call to Action raised awareness for the critical need to improve availability and access to controlled substances for medical and scientific purposes, including in emergency situations, to ensure no patient is left behind.                #NoPatientLeftBehind
