Buenos Aires, Argentina, 12 July 2022 – UNODC’s Firearms Trafficking Section instigated the signing of the Assistance and Collaboration Framework Agreement between the Ministry of Security of the Nation and the Public Prosecutor's Office of the Nation.
The purpose of this agreement is to establish a framework of action to promote joint workspaces between the parties for the development and fulfilment of their respective missions and functions.
This framework agreement was signed, in the presence of the Chief of the UNODC’s Firearms Trafficking Section, Ms. Simonetta Grassi, by the Attorney General of the Nation of Argentina, Dr. Eduardo Casal, and the Minister of Security, Dr. Cdor. Aníbal Fernandez.
This agreement will allow both institutions to define by mutual agreement the concrete or specific forms of collaboration for reciprocal benefit, which will be implemented through the modalities stipulated in each specific case, committing to develop jointl, different activities to integrate work and training experiences between the different dependencies that are embedded into their structures.
