Being a parent is one of the most difficult jobs there is. So, what kind of challenges do you face as a parent?
Being a parent is very difficult and complex. You always want to see your children do well in every way, that they are doing better than us, and above all that they are happy. The problems arise when they reach an age where they want to experiment without considering our opinions.
What information are you looking for to help you with your parenting skills?
I am looking for more information about adolescence, how to help them make tough decisions, and make them see when they are about to make mistakes.
What were your experiences with (Michael) filming ‘Listen First’?
I liked the way the children collaborated. Without knowing each other, they exchanged experiences and helped each other so nicely!
How are you using the ‘Listen First’ materials at home with your children?
We show them the videos when they are released, and whenever a complex situation arises. I feel that the children understand better by watching the videos and listening to other points of view.
How do you talk to your children about the many difficult things (humanitarian disasters, war) happening in the world right now?
I am trying to make them aware with simple examples that they can understand. And I make sure to answer all their questions.
Made possible with the generous support of France.
