UNODC’s New York Liaison Office supports the Office in inter-agency coordination, especially of New York-based entities.
The Global Focal Point for the Rule of Law is co-chaired by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the Department of Peace Operations (DPO). In addition, other entities are GFP partners, including UNODC. UNODC’s New York Liaison Office is also a member of the new GFP Working Group on Gender Justice.
The UN Inter-Agency Taskforce on Policing was established in 2021 by the Executive Committee of the Secretary-General and is co-chaired by UNODC and the Police Division of the Department of Peace Operations. It is a coordination and information-sharing platform based on four strategic priorities outlined in its terms of reference (ToRs), namely, (i) strategic policy and guidance standardization; (ii) planning, coordination, and partnerships; (iii) resource mobilization; and (iv) dialogue.
