Starting at the end of 2020, a new registration management platform called INDICO will be used for meetings of UNODC intergovernmental bodies. The Secretariat will provide the links to register for the respective events via INDICO to all invitees. All designated participants have to submit their registration form in INDICO, attaching the Permanent Mission’s note verbale/Organization’s official communication with the composition of its delegation to the respective meeting. For this, participants have to create an account in INDICO with their personal email address. Once an account has been created, participants can register for all UN system wide events where INDICO is already used (e.g. UN Geneva). |
In accordance with resolution 65/230 entitled "Twelfth United Nations Congress on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice", endorsing the Salvador Declaration, the Commission on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice (CCPCJ) established an open-ended intergovernmental expert group, to conduct a comprehensive study of the problem of cybercrime and responses to it by Member States, the international community and the private sector, including the exchange of information on national legislation, best practices, technical assistance and international cooperation, with a view to examining options to strengthen existing and to propose new national and international legal or other responses to cybercrime.
The first meeting of the open-ended intergovernmental expert group to conduct a comprehensive study of the problem of cybercrime was held from 17 to 21 January 2011. The second meeting of the expert group was held from 25 to 28 February 2013, the third meeting of the expert group took place from 10 to 13 April 2017, the fourth meeting took place from 3 to 5 April 2018 and the fifth meeting took place from 27-29 March 2019.
At its fourth meeting, the expert group adopted the workplan of the expert group for the period 2018-2021. In accordance with the workplan, in 2020, the EGM will discuss international cooperation and prevention. Moreover, no later than 2021, the expert group will hold a stocktaking meeting to discuss the preliminary conclusions and recommendations emanating from the work done by the EGM in period 2018-2020 and its future work.
The sixth meeting of the expert group took place from 27-29 July 2020 in Vienna, Austria.

Latest info on COVID-19 from Austrian and Viennese authoritiesWhile there is no requirement to present a negative PCR or antigen test results in order to enter the VIC, delegations attending the IEG on Cybercrime are strongly encouraged to present a negative 72h PCR and/or 48h antigen test result, as a precautionary measure to contain the spread of the virus.
Participants can take a COVID-19 rapid test at Austria Center (U1 Kaisermuehlen and Drive-In) before entering the VIC. Tests are free of charge and available for everybody, including persons without health insurance in Austria. Please register and make an appointment online https://www.acv.at/en/rapid-testing/ and bring a photo ID.
