Consultative Assessments

January 2017

The consultative assessment to Pakistan took place in January 2017. The mission was successful and the resulting report is being finalized.

March-June 2016

Between April and June 2016, UNODC successfully completed 12 consultative assessments on country`s responses to trafficking in persons and smuggling of migrants. Between July-December 2016, the resulting 12 reports were finalized and disseminated to the EU, IOM, UNICEF and Government authorities for review, consultation and endorsement. On this basis, UNODC is jointly finalizing workplans with the Governments which will provide a basis for the implementation of activities until 2019.

 

Expert Group Meeting

Designing the methodology for undertaking a needs assessment

16 - 17 March 2016

The objective of the 2-day Expert Group Meeting is to assist UNODC Human Trafficking and Migrant Smuggling Section in the development of an assessment framework and methodology for the 13 countries to cover the areas of project focus: strategy and policy development, legislative assistance, criminal justice capacity building, regional and trans-regional cooperation and assistance to victims, including special protection measures for children. The launch of the Global Action

21 January 2016

The official launch of the Global Action to Prevent and Address Trafficking in Persons and the Smuggling of Migrants by the EU, UNODC, IOM and UNICEF in Brussels, Belgium. Participants include representatives from the EU institutions, International Organizations, Non-governmental Organizations as well as country representatives.
