At the end of the conference, participants, including high-level officials, technical experts, representatives of civil society and development partners, agreed on a set of recommendations to fast-track the implementation of the United Nations Convention against Corruption in the four thematic areas identified as regional priorities. In 2020, the UNODC Anti-Corruption Team in Southeast Asia promoted best practices in financial investigations, in coordination with anti-corruption agencies and financial investigation units across the region. A key component of the regional programme has been the promotion of transparent beneficial ownership, while research on data analytics and health sector corruption in the context of Covid-19 explores overlooked issues, emerging trends and overlapping corruption risks. UNODC in Southeast Asia works with anti-corruption agencies and other oversight institutions to improve their capacity to assess corruption risks and promote the implementation of mitigation strategies throughout public administrations. |

Since civil society participation at the opening Regional Conference in February 2017, a CSO Roundtable on the occasion of the International Anti-Corruption Day 2018 took place in November 2018 in Bangkok and a subsequent follow-up civil society roundtable took place in Manila in November 2019.
